Need help deciding...

Alright, I do graphic design and I need a new notebook. I have had my mind set on a new Macbook Pro 17" 2.5Ghz lappy... But I just found this ASUS M70 Series M70Vn-C1 for $1,329.00. I can get the Macbook Pro new for $1,500.00. Which is the better buy, and will suit me better?

My setup right now is a 24" 3.06Ghz iMac, so I am Mac savvy. I am also PC savvy as well, so I am just going for the better buy for what I will use it for. No, gaming is not a factor here... That is where my gaming consoles come in.

I think you just need to decide if you want to use Mac OSX or Windows Vista. The hardware is the minor issue compared to your choice of operating system. They are both fine machines and will perform well.

Of course with the Mac you can dual boot so keep that in mind.
