Clean XP-SP2 install.
Downloaded and installed the available drivers from the Sony site.
Under System/Hardware, yellow question marks by Ethernet controller, Network controller and Video controller. Re-installed drivers in order of system core to video, cd, etc.
Cannot determine which "driver" from Sony downloads should contain the LAN/Ethernet/Networking components or the Video drivers or why they are not installing. I have read (where?) that the Vista drivers will work under XP-sp2, tempting me to try to figure out how to install them.
I would appreciate any advice offered.

1. Sony support sent me on a long chase for the network driver ... told me to install Sony® Shared Library which would not install because it says it needs Vista. They offer drivers for XP...but nothing for networking. So, how useful is it to move to XP if you can't network?
I now have a 1394 Network adapter but the Ethernet and Network controllers have question marks by them.
