I've had my 5672 since 2006 and its been good to me.
Always met my needs - office application, some 3D gaming, development of websites and web applications, entertainment centre and DVD player.

I added RAM and after market bluetooth support - I skimped on these when I bought the laptop (didn't need the memory and didn't have a bluetooth phone at the time).

The case is sill in good shape haven brought this baby on holidays, work trips and I move it from bedroom to living room and office multiple times a day.

I never plan on moving to Vista and I've recently started running VMware and Ubuntu.

I'm very happy with this laptop, the best I've ever used.

I'm probably going to hold on to this for another year, at least until the cash flow situation is a healthier. The only area that I've started to look for more from this Aspire is in the CPU department. I keep a well tuned system, routinely check automatic started services and application configured to start with XP. I run CCleaner all the time.

I'm wondering is the a current Acer that will be the next gen of 5672, good build quality, reliable components and excellent value for money, what's coming down the line?
