reinstalling NTI CD and DVD maker

Thread Starter
For some reason my NTI CD and DVD maker has decided to stop producing VCD and the only advice I get from NTI is to reinstall and from acer to do a factory restore. Both these two pieces of advice is as useful as a chocolate teapot.

The error message I get is AVI2MPEG with a exlamaion mark in a warning tirangle. I suspect that I can use the erecovery to do this for me but not sure how that works. It wants me to excecute this string

E:\app\CDMaker\Setup.exe

Which looks like it needs a cd to do this.

I have also located an intallation file for this programme which suspect I can use too.

Its a aspire 5103WLMi with Vista and the version of the nti is 7.7

assuming you haven't altered startup entries, services, or removed your recovery partition.

from windows, press alt-f10 or launch erecovery.

go to restore, then recover drivers and applications

from there it will take a few minutes to build the image.

then, you should be able to launch the installation for NTI, or any other bundled software that came with it.
