ASUS M50Vm-B2 vs. G50VT-A1

New to this forum, but what I've read so far is leading me towards either of these ASUS notebooks. Thing is, I'm not a gamer -at all -
but I'm looking for a high performing workhorse laptop - I like running a lot of programs at the same time, create a lot of heavy powerpoint presentations for my work, watch films, etc. and I'm tired of my Dells
freezing up.

No current interest in Blu-Ray.
The more USB ports the merrier.
With 4GB Ram, I guess Vista 64 is the way to go.
I plan to keep this one at home connected to a large flat screen monitor, so the ASUS monitor isn't so important.

So my question - which one do you recommend I opt for?
(Secondary question - does anyone know if and where these might
be available in Europe?)

I like the design of the M50 series over the G50 series- it's not as gaudy, in my opinion.

I appreciate the response, but I don't really care what the computer looks like as it will probably not leave the house. More concerned about the feel (keyboard), ease of use, and performance.

I know this sounds naive, but is it possible to take my backup CD for Windows XP and install it onto one of the hard drive partitions on either of these ASUS laptops?

I have the M50VM-X1 and love it. Though at the time I purchased it 64bit OS's where not an option. I still cant find all the drivers to change mine over. Though I haven't look lately.
