Volume control graph

I just did a fresh install of Vista on my T61. What do I need to install to get the graphs to show up when you change the volume or screen brightness?

Pushing the up/down vol buttons does control the volume but doesn't display the graph on screen as it once did.

Thanks,
Rut

To bring this back up, I just loaded windows 7 and can't find a driver for the sound and brightness display for my t61. The older driver doesn't seem to work.

Anyone else had any luck with this?

Would you list out the W7 drivers that you currently use and where to get them?

For graphic driver, have you tried using this?

I simply went to the lenovo site and punched in my model number and os. They had a bunch of win 7 drivers but nothing for the sound/brightness graphics. Also, win 7 automatic updates found some drivers itself including graphics drivers.

Have you looked into installing some of the Lenovo apps that come with your notebook?

No. I haven't tried any of those. Wanted to keep it as stripped down as possible.

I see. Brands/Models utilities should not take so much disk space nor use extra resources that would cripple the performance of a system.

I usually disable the start-up processes, keeping the apps/utilities installed.
