So I ordered my 1st alienware labtop ever.
I got the m17
Will this be able to run CS 1.6.? without the Dual video cards is one still enough to have decent/good graphics?
Will i get 100 fps :]?
please tell me, and how long do you guys expect for this to be completed?

if you are going to keep the computer for a long time get the 3 year warranty... there are many people who wish they would have gotten the three year... with a laptop you never know what will happen to it....

CS will run on your new rig
it will run fine but not /w max settings @100 FPS. If you tell us whats you're using now I can give you a general preformance expection.

As for shipping, AW is not the fastest. the M17 is their latest notebook it might take some time, but it is worth it!

it would be your GPU not pushing enough...if you hit 60 fps per second that is the max rate the screen can refresh anyways so that would be a good number to see...

in the labtop i ordered O.o its 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3870


right now in my cpu i have a ati radeon 9550 512MB

Oh boy, i think you'll like the answer
Given the age of the ATI 9550 we have to use 3dmark03 as our benchmark baseline (i really cannot find any benchmarks on this card using 05 or 06)

3dmark03
ati radeon 9550 = 3303
ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3870 = 28981

thats a 777% 3d performance increase!
If you're playing CS now on the 9550 when your M17 shows up it will feel like the game is on steroids.

dude thanks alot haha wow, cause right now i get like 70/100 ping lol jumps around, cuz this labtop will be more for just movies on the road not to much intense gaming :] just cs 1.6 and starcraft BW haha :]

You won't have any problems with that older game.

I get 115 fps in CSS with a single 7900gs, and the cards in the m17 are way faster than my cards, and 1.6 is an older and less demanding game, so I think you're going to be more than fine.

AW is better now at time estimates, so you should receive it in accordance with their estimate, or within a day or two unless something you ordered is out of stock.

Looks like a nice set up, I'm sure you'll be more than happy with it.

well accuatly i just upgraded to a dual crossfire X ati radeon 3870`s graphic cards :] so haha yea...

and my order is in phase 1 still =X i ordered it friday so im kinda.. not that worryed haha :] well aritey thanks guys

I maxed out the cpu/gpu/ram/lcd and went light on everything else.
