G'day Folks,
I wrote in previously under the impression that my graphics card (6800 Go) had bitten the dust. Since then I have been searching for a replacement, but out of the blue, today the vertical 'blue dots' that I used to get on the DELL startup screen that appeared were no longer there.
So I thought, hmm, perhaps I should stop using the on board VGA (which as you know sucks arse but is good enough for general net surfing) and re-install my NVidia drivers.
Low and behold, the damn thing works again! I have noticed though that the LCD panel has a little bit of 'bleeding' down the bottom where there was none previously.
Could this be the cause of the whole problem?
When this first happened (card failing) I dismantled the laptop and I have thoroughly cleaned the dust out being very careful will all components and did not notice this 'bleeding' over the past few days.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Cheers
