SDHC CArd in Acer 5630

Does any one know if i can get my Card reader built in to the ACER 5630 to read SDHC cards? surely it could be sorted with a driver update? real pain in the ass if no work around

I asked Acer technical support this very question several months ago, basic reply was don't know if it will work and have no idea if it ever will. Not exactly what you call helpful

Ridiculous really, you think they'd have know about this, i cant see on a hardware side why it does'nt work?? all my cards are sdhc or equivalent so my ACER card reader in my laptop is useless

aspire 5630 with ENE card reader will most likely not read SDHC. have heard of some driver hacks but nothing reliable. appears will work with some brand SDHC but not all


extensa 5630 with realtek reader, very possible

what about a usb card reader? Those are cheap, and it seems like I've heard that those will read the new SDHC cards
