Dell waited till day before to delay my order

So I was supposed to receive my xps 1530 tomorrow but I just received an email from Dell saying it will be delayed shipping until December 19th that means I wont even get it until the 22nd.

Now I'm not upset about the delay, I can totally understand that due to the holiday season. What I am upset is they waited unit the day before it was due at my house to notify me. I also understand it is an estimate on the arrival date but come on they obviously knew it would not be ready before today...... An earlier email maybe 2 days ago would have been more customer service oriented.

Yea I do agree, that is pretty shitty. They obviously knew it didn't ship a few days ago, so why not tell you.

Yeah, they did that to me a few times. The very day it was said it was going to ship out it ended up being delayed due to a battery shortage.

Same here /w the mini. delayed 3 times and I was notified the day prior.
Dell must have had some lawsuits around this, after the second delay I was required to agree to an FTC waver or they would cancle my order...

at least this netbook was worth the wait

why didnt you look at the tracking number? its not dells fault if there is a delay because of the inclement weather
