inspiron upgrade

hi guys, can someone please tell me what cpu upgrades are available for a inspiron 1525 celeron 540 1.86 ghz, 2g ram, 80 gig hardrive. 533 bus. The laptop is about 6 months old. Thanks in advance

Dell site offers this model with 4 CPUs options. The highest is Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T5800

thanks for the quick reply, so i can upgrade my celeron to core 2 duo without a motherboard change. do you have any links for this on the dell site, cheers

have spoken to Dell.no help at all. They say you cannot upgrade because the cpu is part of the motherboard. their answer buy another laptop.Ah customer service.

^^ you must be joking, right? CPUs are upgradable, period! Dell machines are quite flexible in this, even with their gpus swap.
