a7jc Reboot problem

The laptop problem:
Unstable(reboots), while ideling at desktop, watching dvd and gaming.
problem occours even at cold start, so no overheating

Serviced once by A NOVO norway, problem stil not solved.

Troubleshooting:
Recovery cd restore, problem not solved

Windows Xp with service pack 3 and newest driver software from asus for the hardware. Problem not solved

Installed and tested Windows Vista Ultimate Sp1, same problem occoured. Problem not solved

After first service Ac adapter got replaced by an universal ac adapter. Problem not solved

Bought Orginal Ac adapter. Problem not solved

New HDD by A NOVO. Problem not solved.

Bios Reset to factory defaults. Problem not solved.

Bios update by Asus to latest revision 300. Problem not solved.


Problem is not caused by OS or any Software installed.
Hardware failure.

I'd guess it's a memory issue. Try replacing your RAM and see if that fixes it.
