I've aways been fasinated by the monster laptop the mALX represents and its still very capable of perorming any task I throw at it (some gaming / banking / spreadsheets/etc.). Should I consider the purchase of one of these rigs or should I pass it by?
It was a difficult decision to part with all that money but I have not regretted it. I purchased my mALX in June of 2007. I am still enjoying it immensly to this day and I hope to for many more days/months/years to come.
I am a PC gamer, with my game of choice being World of Warcraft. This computer plays it beautifully. I am also an accountant and love using this computer for the many spreadsheets I work with. The numeric keypad is very comfortable to use as on a desktop. The large screen is great on my aging eyes.
It is true that this computer is not cutting edge as it once was. However I find it very useful in all facets of gaming and professional applications.
I also have to admit that I purchased this baby for it's "wow" factor, and I don't mean the game
. People still comment on the beauty and amazing size of this machine everytime they see it for the first time.
I also enjoy it's portability. Yes you read that right, I carry it around quite frequently. While it is heavy, it is not a back breaker.
As far as having any problems, well I have had a few, but nothing major and AW support has been incredibly great at helping me solve them.
All and all I have been extremely pleased with my purchase of the mALX.
Oh and btw, I am typing this on my recently purchased m15x, which I also enjoy but has yet to replace my mALX in gaming and I use both for professional applications.
