unable to restore my 5420-5687

I just got an Acer Extensa 5420-5687 and the hard drive is wiped. I have the restore disks but when I try to restore it I get a message that it can not find the storage device. Any advice on what I am doing wrong?

Bad drive, or bad drive connector (probably bad drive)

go into the bios using F2 at power on. look for any IDE or SATA drive info.

i managed to get xp to load with raid drivers form a floppy and then loaded it with the restore disk...thank you for reply's.

try alt f10 at startup, depending on the wipe that you did already....
