Please help!
I have a problem that has been bugging me for almost a year now and I am finally getting fed up with it. I have looked for answers before on other notebook forums and none have been able to help me yet.
My laptop is a Sager NP2090.
Specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T7300 @ 2.00 GHz
2.00 GB of RAM (I have run memtest and there were no problems)
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
Realtek HD Audio
Here's my problem:
While playing World of Warcraft, my laptop will randomly shut down, or the screen will freeze comepletely and I will have to shut it down manually, or the screen will freeze for 5 seconds and then the laptop will restart. It is always one of these three scenarios. This usually happens about 15 minutes after starting up World of Warcraft. After I boot it up, it usually will not crash again, and if it does it will be after a very long time.
I have had this problem since I installed World of Warcaft and only while playing WoW. Other games like Counter-Strike: Source, CoD 4, and Fallout 3 have not caused this problem. Now that I think of it though, I believe I had this problem with Doom 3 as well. I played Doom 3 prior to playing WoW.
I bought a laptop cooler (advice from another forum) and this has not fixed it.
I also reinstalled/updated my audio drivers (this was a common problem with the NP2090). This did not fix it.
If theres any information I am missing let me know and i'll be happy to try to find it for you.
Thanks,
Triggz
