are ASUS/ALIENWARE the only ones using the 9800m GT?

Thread Starter
do any other companies put together notebooks with the 9800m GT? the ALIENWARE m15x seems like a rip-off compared to the ASUS models, the AUS G50vt-X1 (bestbuy) has crappy resolution, and the G50vt-A1 looks downright hideous. what other options am i looking at?

all i want is a dual core cpu 2.4 ghz, a 9800m GT GPU, and a decent LCD display. everything else i figure can be upgraded later if need be.

Sager NP8660 comes standard with a 9800GT.

The Sager NP9262 can be specced out with the 9800m GTX in single and SLI variants.

The 9800M GT is hard to find and I don't think NVidia produces them anymore. The 9800M GT is a rebadged 8800M GTX and based on the G92 core technology. It has been replaced by the 9800M GTS which is based on the G94 chip and runs at higher clock speeds and comes with 512MB or 1GB of video RAM. The GTS tends to perform slower than the older GT however, due to the reduced number of shader processors. If you can find a 15" notebook equipped with the 9800M GT it would probably be a good buy right now.

The 9800M GTX is still the fastest notebook card you can buy and is still based on the older G92 core, runs the same speed as the GT (slower than the GTS), but comes with 1GB video memory standard and has more shader processors which means it outperforms the GT and the GTS. It is also considerably more expensive and I don't think it's an option in any 15" notebook.
