Aspire 5680 ethernet drivers

hey all,
I recently reformatted and installed xp on my Aspire 5680-6123, and finding drivers is tough. Ive got most of the things working, except for the Ethernet adapter. The drivers ive tried are the broadcom ones from the acer site, but nothing seems to work. The default drivers xp wants to install do not work either.

Maybe im just doing something wrong, installing the drivers incorrectly.

Any help is apprieciated.

thanks for your reply, but i have been there, ive found which driver i need, the problem is installing it. simply put, i have no idea how to install these drivers.

. Download the file(s) in question
. If they are ZIP files, you need to expand them first and save them to a working folder
. Go back to device manager, go to properties of the device and update driver from there.
. You can then choose the location of the drivers, pointing the update search at it

or
sometimes, just click on the setup file that comes with the driver(s).
