Please At Least 1 Or 2 "experts" Who Can Take My Post Seriously

I left the windows scene 2 years ago and got a macook Pro. it has been a very difficult 2 years and I guess I am stupid. I was told this on the apple discussions forums.

I ned a notebook that I can actually use. I never got use to the Mac, even know it is still in relatively new condition (maybe there is somebody here looking for a macBok pro. it just got back from Apple n TX headquarters and a new display was put in and all checked out OK, so I was told it was me.

So that is not the reason for my post. I need a windows based notebook. last I researched them the lenovo T61 was hot.

I am a professor teaching only online web-CT nutrition courses now. I have 2 nutrition programs that are quite large due to the database of foods.

I do not play games I prefer as little ad-ware as possible, I love WiFi connections in my house, I have a camcorder clipped to my mac that I use for teaching and it works well but not sure it the exact set-up will work on the windows based notebook. I prefer fast processor and around 7200 rpm, 4 gb ram, in 2 gb sticks with a fast rating. (I am not very smart with ram s I do not know the correct lingo.)
I have no idea what prating system because before the mac I was using XP pro and loved it.

I need as many USB pots as possible. Size does not matter as long as it can accommodate the rest of the requirements I need.
MX 700 whic I love.

I really appreciat any ideas. I need it to be able to withstand a person who is hard on things. I am jut had on things. Not sure why, but I am. I can remember the lenovo thinkpad T 61 (I think it was) was or coul cme in a titanium case or shell and that suited me fine.

Again thanks for any recommendations. In short, I need the cream o the crop but not a lot of fancy stuff because I need to save the $$$ for the better , more important basic components.
HD 300 GB (I can see the reaction to this) and my printer al-in one is a Canon

the t61 has been replaced by the t400 and t500 series. It is still a very good notebook for people who are hard on their notebooks, but lenovo did cut some corners when the abandoned the venerable t61 line--particularly the keyboard and the wrsit area (seems cheaper/thinner).

For people who are hard on their notebook, though, it is either this or a toughbook, which is going to be a lot more expensive.

I think it's unlikely you'll find Windows Vista any easier to learn to use than Macintosh OSX. I'm assuming your Mac is an older G5 processor type rather than an Intel type. The newer Intel based Macs can run Windows natively alongside OSX.

320GB 7200rpm drives can be purchased for under $100 these days so it shouldn't be too difficult to find a notebook equipped with one.

Unless you buy a notebook specifically designed for heavy duty use you'll probably find they're all very similar in durability and construction. Specialized notebooks with durable cases are typically very expensive and not very powerful.

thanks
can you go on the apple's website and config what you would think is the top of the line 15" MacBook Pro. thee are not many options.

What about Office. For Macs or Microsoft and install via VMWareFusion? I do not see publisher, which is my favorite Office program but it is not in the Macs current version.

Mcirosoft Office 2008 for OS X should include Publisher. You can also check out SwiftPublisher for Macs.

cheers ...

Based on your criteria I'd recommend the Sager 9262 or the Dell M6400 Covet.

When you first came here we told you that a Windows machine would be better for you and you insisted on getting a Mac. And we told you you did not need the most uber powerful machine you could buy, but again you insisted that you had to have it or the world would end. It's obvious that you're not going to follow anyone's advice and are just going to go ahead and buy the most shiny thing you can find without taking any of your actual needs into consideration, so why even bother asking?

Professor teach thyself.

For an office program check out openoffice.org

It's free and works well. If you need advanced office functions you should consider something a little more powerful but since it's free you should at least check it out, you have nothing to lose and it works on pretty much any operating system.
