I recently purchased my Dell M1330 and uninstalled all the Dell bloat ware that I didn't want.
I was able to use the Express card remote control when I first purchased the laptop, but I don't remember if I used it before I uninstalled all the software. Anyway, the battery in the remote ended up dying on me and when I replaced the battery, the remote doesn't work at all.
I have done some research and found conflicting info on whether or not Dell requires software for the remote to work; some sites say yes and some sites say that it is not necessary. Maybe you have to resync the remote somehow?
I can't figure it out and when I call Dell, they're wanting to charge me before they help me because my warranty expired.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
