M6862 Max Memory

I have the previous mentioned laptop with 4 gigs. has anyone added more memory than the 4gigs? 8 gigs would be totallly awesome.

Other than the Dell M6300 (stock Vista 64bits and 8gig) work station class laptops, I am not sure if there are any others that can support up to 8gigo ram at the moment. Motherboard, BIOS ... a few must be modified to support the 8gig; 64bits OS alone can't do it

i figured it would be a hardware limitation, but would this particular chipset P945? support 8gigs? Maybe I will just be adventureous and buy 8 gigs and try it out.

specs at Gateway for the MB say max of 4 gigs

as I recall 4gig is a max for that Intel chipset as well
