G50V mouse pad problem

Just got it about a week ago. The touch pad stopped working tonight. The status indicator shows the mouse pad locked, but I am unable to unlock it with the quick key or Fn+F9. I stays locked in expressgate as well.
Is there a quick fix, or is it back to the store for an exchange?

Try disabling all synaptics touchpad enhancements in the process tab of task manager.
