Bios update for the 5960

Hey Folks,
It's been a while and I've missed the invaluable info. from the forums. Naturally, since I've run into a problem I thought that I would check with our resident experts for advice and, maybe, even a solution.

I just bought a (2) 320g harddrives for my 5960 and was putting on a fresh copy of Vista x64 and running through all of the initial updates when at number 47 of 49 the LCD turned off. I thought that it had gone into power-save mode, but when I tried to move the mouse- nothing happened. The power is still on but the LCD will not turn on. I decided to turn the computer off and reboot. The comp. ran through the first half of the boot sequence and then gets to video bios- shadowed and then the screen turns off again. I have tested both memory modules, and harddrives but nothing seems to work. I can see my computer when I attach it to an external monitor. This leads me to believe that it is the main bios and/or the video card bios.

I've looked for the last two days for both bioses and haven't been able to locate either. If any of you kind folks has either of these could you PM me or post. Please let me know how you've flashed the bios (I've got winphlash installed) and updated both of them so I can get my monster back in the game.

Thanks for the help.

Well, not much in the way of responses for this question I guess. Oh well! I thought that I would offer an update for my problem. It appears that it is not a BIOS problem nor is it a problem with the video card. The LCD only turns on for a few minutes due to a bad video controller and LCD cables. I've had to send it in for repairs to California. Hopefully the fix doesn't cost me an arm-and-a-leg.
