Acer Extensa 4630z trouble

Hi guys, im new here and was just wondering about this issue I have with my notebook. Tis only about 5 days old and it already has a problem.
On vista bootup, I see the POST and then the vista loading bar, but the screen just goes black and I still see all the lights on. So then I go to safe mode, I see the login screen, try to type my pass but the touchpad and the keyboard both don't work. Vista startup repair didnt work. And as far as I can tell, the touchpad and keyboard work everywhere except the OS itself.

Someone please help!

Have you done any recent updates MS, drivers or anything else.
Were you doing any adjustments to any settings??????
if this just happened out of the blue, time to contact Acer about returning it for repairs

I agree with saugen. might also consider returning it to the place of purchase for an exchange.
