i8kfangui on vista 64

had anybody successfully installed i8kfangui on 64 bit vista ?
I just reinstalled my system and i can't seem to install since fanio.sys driver refuses to install. I've tried the suggested solution (Ready Driver Plus) but windows didn't even boot with it.

yah, ready driver works awesome, use it every day - make sure you have the correct number of keystorkes selected for it to go up to autoselect

use fangui v3.1 x64

i am giving it another try as we speak. During the installation it offers me 1 keystroke as default. Since i don't multiboot it looks like the right option to choose.
I'll try to boot and see what happens.

well, it won't boot with the ready driver option chosen.. there's just a blinking cursor on the screen and nothing happens.

Nobody had the problems i am having ?
That is so weird, i've done everything i could and i can't seem to make it work.
Is there an alternative, that is as convenient as fangui to monitor the temperatures of my cpu and gpu maybe?

The driver needs to be digitally signed.
Also -- it seems as though the "quick fix" no longer works. Microsoft disabled the disabling of driver signing.

since i posted this, i've also discovered that even if the driver would have been signed, the program would only have supported 2 out of the 3 fans in 1730.
