i have Spy-bot, and when ever i scan, it never finds anything. is it of any use then? i do use the immunization process, but does that do anything for me? i have been thinking about uninstalling it.

My personal opinion only, using SpyBot over the years and finally just un.install it and replaced with SpywareBlaster. SpyBot for me was too cumbersome and can bog down my system every so often.

My current set up is Comodo (Vista + XP) + defenders (Vista) + avast (Vista + XP) + Spyware Blaster (Vista + XP). Safely surf for years!

I have been using Cyberdefender. It does viruses, trojans and spyware. I got the paid version which also comes with 24/7 computer help, which my daughter used while I was away to fix a USB problem. Very happy with it.

i've been using computers for over a decade now and i never use those protective software except for NOD32 antivirus, and i've never been "infected" with spy/adware...

i don't understand how so many people get it...

I agree - I had AVG and I got infected - and I've read that that happends sometimes. After my system crashed (on AVG) and I couldn't recover anything - I decided quick to pay for a good anti-virus software. I researched different ones and decided on Cyberdefender too. I've been very happy with it too. It's blocked websites and stopped a virus attach. For me 0 nothing else is better.
