Thanks for reading my problem amongst all the others!
My laptop (Lenovo – Thinkpad – R60) will only boot up in Safe Mode or from a disc. I want to reformat my hard drive to fix this. Can anyone please tell me if my plan of action is going to work?
I’m definitely not a technology person, so answers in simple language and/or with links to where I need to go would be GREATLY appreciated.
I have:
- a windows XP pro disc
I have also downloaded the following drivers, which are appropriate for my laptop and saved them to a disc:
- ethernet driver
- wireless driver
- ultranav mouse driver
My plan is to:
- boot from the winows xp disc and install the OS
- once I get into windows, I will insert the disc that I have the drivers on… I will run those, then go into C:/drivers and run the set up programs for each of the drivers.
Will this work? Thanks for any pointers.
Happy New Year to all!
