Never used, in the original box.
The drive is BD reader and DVDRW.
paypal verified only, 160$ + shipping.

No... sorry, i have both m1710 and m1730 here next to me, and i see that it's a different form factor.

Huh? Only the faceplates should be different between the drives. I mean I don't have or have never even seen a XPS 1730 but I'm pretty sure slim dvd drives are universal. As long as the drive isn't slot loading you should be able to take off the original faceplate and put on your own faceplate.

you're probably right.
I decided that they are different due to the fact that the faceplate is shaped differently.

I installed a 1730 DVD into my 1710 and simply had to swap the faceplate.
