Fujitsu N6420 - Unkown Multimedia Device

Good afternoon,

I have a Fujitsu N6420 that I just installed Windows XP Media Center Edition to, and I have one remaining device that is still unknown, so I figured I'd ask you guys for some help, because I cannot find it at pcidatabase.com -

It is an unkown:
Multimedia Controller
PCI\VEN_10CF&DEV_2026&SUBSYS_10D01718
"The drivers for this device are not installed"

From what I know, it is a Fujitsu component (Vendor: 10CF)... not sure what the device "2026" is...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- Actually, when I run the Media Center, it states that no TV tuner is found on the system (which is does indeed have one)... perhaps a related issue? What do I need to get the tuner working in the Media Center? I installed the driver from Avermedia, but not sure if it took it or not, as the installer is just a small splash screen and a progress bar. Video card installed and updated is the ATI X1400.

Thanks again,
- Josh

The general specs that a remote control is being included, but this does not translate to a TV tuner being included.

The error seems to indicate that a card slot is not being recognised.

cheers ...

Actually, I found the listing for the driver ID on DriverAgent.com. States that it is a:

PIX-DA010 Analog [Pixela corp]

Requiring the driver file:

PIX-MPTV/P5W (13.9MB)

But of course, DriverAgent is the only place where I found the driver, and they want to charge me for it as far as I can see... But yeah, not sure what to do now, as Pixela doesnt have that driver on their site, or any driver for that matter it seems, and it says that the driver works with XP, etc - so it'll work if I could get my hands on it...

The DriverAgent link I am getting the listing from (Yes, the actual SUBSYS is '10d0'):

http://listing.driveragent.com/pci/10cf/2026/171810d0

Now what..?

UNKNOWN - DEVICE N6420

Hi there !

Did u received a cd with this machine "Record Now" install all Softwares from this CD and then in Device Manager Uninstall the device, restart the computer. Hopefully it will help.

Otherwise, back up the data, run full system recovery, and during recovery it will ask you the Third Party Software say YES.

TV Tuner : may be you have TV tuner in your computer and its not Pluged-in on the system board (a tiny 2 inch cable) lands on the system board from Tuner.

while updating the drivers Make Sure u r picking up the drivers from Windows XP not Vista.

Have a gr8 day !
