Depends on your model. The m9700 Vista sound drivers do not work on Windows 7. I am not pleased with their claims that it would be driver compatible.

I also used "My Devices" and used "Update Driver" to search for the sound drivers...worked for me....

I think the install package doesnt identify the Windows 7 OS yet....

Windows 7 installed some old driver for my GPU so I deleted it and installed a newer driver...my driver for my sound was automatically installed for me...

The same happened to me, when I fresh installed Windows 7. The sound loaded automatically. Realtek didn't work.

I got Windows 7 running on a AMD 7500 in x64 and I love it. Runs great except for a small driver issue that I'm going to try to resolve when I get home. Currently the driver that Windows auto installed makes my desktop black and a missing task bar upon boot, I have to switch the resolution to a different then back for it to "kick into gear" per say.

I'm running it on my m5500. So far it seems to be doing very well. I haven't had any incompatibility issues yet...

my windows 7 keeps losing my printer and I have to reinstall it everytime I want to print something...

theres alot of bugs they need to work out... its still not as fast as XP... Yahoo messenger has issues with it... and some other software has issues with it...

The verdict is still out at this point, but I have to admit that I am liking it...

Those of you that are having problems with software compatability, have you tried the "Compatability Manager" inside Windows 7. Where you can state whether to run in XP mode, 98 mode etc...you can even state the problem you are having and it will fix it automatically. It really does seem to work for me so far. It's a neat function that W7 has included within the OS.

Hope you're using the "Send Feedback" button when you are having these issues, so they can sort them out. Thats the whole point of releasing a "Public Beta Version" PLUS you'll feel good about contributing towards a better working OS on Final release...
