Accessing a GPT partion with XP

Hi all,
I am selling my XPS M1730 (specs in the sig, email me if you're interested...asking $2700 soccerstewart3@gmail.com)

anyway, my second hard drive that I had in that machine had all my personal data on it, however it is a GPT Protective Partition according to my interim laptop with XP 32-bit on it.

So, I need to access that hard drive via a usb cable and adapter which I have....but I cant because of the whole GPT thing.

Does anyone know of a way to access a GPT Protective partition from with Windows XP Pro 32-bit....WITHOUT DESTROYING THE DATA.

My life is basically on that hard drive, so losing data whatsoever is not an option.

Thank you in advance!!

Can you stick the drive back in the original laptop long enough to copy the data off it?

A quick google search reveals GPT Protective Partitions are supported under XP 64 bit, Vista and Windows Server 2003/2008. If you do not have access to such a system, try a Linux live CD on your interim laptop (first search result was someone in a similar situation using Ubuntu's live CD to copy data to another partition).

The data recovery program R-Studio was also mentioned as being able to access GPT partitions without requiring OS support.

Yes I was able to copy my data off of it, I was just wondering if there was some program or driver or update, etc that would allow me to see it with a 32-bit XP install. I'll look into R-Studio.

Thank you
