Good Afternoon,
I starting to have issues with the actual quality control placed on my computer, I have had two calls in on issues that seem to relative to quality control. The first is my second video card, it is over heating to the point I am having to purchase heat sink pads and installing them myself. I don't mind the installation part as I feel very confortable with your tech supports assistance, but the expense, is there reimburment to the customer? The second is accroding to the tech the sound card should have been installed before the Bluetooth program and wasn't, if this was bench tested before sending, how thourgh was it tested.. I hope that the future problems are few and far between as I look forwaed to many years of using your product and would have no problems recommending it to other MPG players.
Thank you
Thanks Digg for responding, this is just one of the e-mails sent, I have posted a letter to both Dell and Alienware detailing the problems, when I first got the laptop the 3D images were fading as the unit ran, tech-support talked to me about 2 hours on or close to Thanksgiving Day and eas great, but didn't solve prob. Finally we ( I was in the add on tech section) disconnected the SLI mode and he installed a monitor box that showed all the heat temps in different sections, the primary card was at 55 C max was 62.. the slave card was at 79 C and steady,. He suggested that the heat sink pads failed so we went to 5555 on the tech support site, I purchased 19.00 worth of pads and called back to get help with intalation..this also failed, so they sent me another slave card...I asked them to send all needed materials for installation including new pads, disassembled the laptop and opened the new slave card box and....... only the card was in there..nothing else ( we are now over a month into owning this laptop top and have not been able to use it to it's potental) but anyways, now they want me to wait for them to send me a heat sink...with fan I guess..it's been a week and I just got notified last night that it was in.. so I rwesponded .. in where, not here...these were quality control problems and should have been found att bench test..
Thank you Digg for listening atleat.. if anything can be done, please let me know
