Can I edit video with new Toshiba Sat. L305?

I have never edited video on a PC, but hope to edit some home video on a new laptop which I plan to purchase. Is it realsitic to assume that I will generally be able to accomplish this based on the following hardware specs?

Toshiba Satellite L305-S5933:
Intel Pentium Dual Core T3400
3 GB Ram; 250 GB harddrive; 2.16 GHz
Memory Speed: PC2-6400
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M up to 1342MB shared
No firewire in, but can add via expresscard slot.
15.4" screen

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Looks realistic, though you don't say how much memory you have. 15" screen will seem tight, but is doable. Just make sure you have plenty of ram. Video cards tend to not be as important, especially for editing home movies, unless compositing special effects in programs, which it doesn't sound like you are doing from your last thread so you should be fine I believe.

The laptop has 3 GB Ram, with a 250 GB hard drive. My mistake in leaving that out

Should be fine.
