Geezer needs a new laptop

I'm in real estate, carry a blackberry, but I need a new notebook and i'm totally confused. I dont't play games other than poker online and my notebook usage is mostly pulling info and ocassional photoshop use for flyers.

I need some help on what to buy. Thanks

Do you want or need mobility? That is, is ultrathin and ultralight what you want? If so, there are plenty of 12 inch laptops that might fit the bill. Watch out for the small screens being kind of hard on the eyes, though.

Otherwise, a standard 15.4 inch laptop, your basic jack-of-all-trades, is probably the way to go.

I've got an Asus X51RL, which is basic but a nice piece of kit if you want a budget friendly machine that can do most everything except for gaming. Can even do a bit of that! (There's a review here: http://www.itreviews.co.uk/hardware/h1636.htm)
