Bamboo Quicksnap

Hey,

A few weeks ago, there was a haiku war between the supporters of Bamboo Quicksnap and the Graphite Swirl Quicksnap. I was just wondering if it would be possible, for the owners of I8600s or 600ms with any quicksnap cover to post pictures of their systems. I am considering to pick one but want to know how they look.

Thanks

Thanks,

Are there any folks who actually have any of quick snap cover for their inspirons? If so, could you please post pics of your lappy??? Thanks. I got the Venice Blue for free, and I will post pics of mine just after typing this post.

I've got the Burlwood Quicksnap on my 9100. I thought it would have looked better, but in person it doesn't fit well with the system. I'll post a pic of it when I get home from work later.

I too was going to try these covers but decided "f it" and replaced the whole chassis to the M60. Which is the way to go in my opinion.

Unfortunately I do not have my Digital camera to show you a picture of my lappy with the Graphite Swirl on (My Dad borrowed it, he's in Great Britain for a few months). Needless to say though, I get many admiring comments as it looks fantastic. Much better than the Bamboo cover, to which I have heard the comment:
"Are you gonna eat that?"

In the summer... there will be no need for quick snap covers because there will be a tutorial how to paint the laptop...

Ooooooooo, what colours are you thinking at the moment Spiike? I'm thinking a nice gloss black would compliment those Blue LED's very nicely indeed.

You could show us how to paint them like Voodoo does.... right

What I think would be cool (not everyone will agree) is to have a giant logo painted over the top, like the pentium 4 logo, or nVidea, and so on and so forth.

First person whoe desagrees with wooster about the logo paint.... better all plain, or some design but not a logo!

I wouldn't mind a nice and bigger Dell Logo. After all, why should we advertise for any other company?
Personally I think the Dell logo on the Inspiron series as it is at the moment is fantastic, looks very sleek. I actually prefer it over logo the back of the Latitide and Precision series, and don't think it needs to be any bigger.... but then again I just love the Graphite Swirl Quicksnap as a whole
But thats just my opinion, for what its worth.

Does the QuickSnap snap on top of the origial cover or do one take that away first?
Im guessing on the first alt. How much does that add to the thickness?
It just snaps on top of the original "cover" (which is just the standard, but still rather fetching, backing to the LCD).
It doesn't actually add much at all to thickness, maybe 1-2mm... this is because it snaps over the middle section of the cover which is slightly depressed from the edges of the cover.... if you get what I mean, you'd know when you see it

I haven't decided on a color yet. Either a chemelion color changing paint, e.g. blue to another color, or just go with a midnight blue. Maybe black, I'm not sure.

Also because by then I'll have my lighted badge in place, I dont' think I would paint another logo. Just a solid color.
