I am kind of leaning towards the last one. The New MD7818U. 699 from best buy. Question is, is the Asus better or what about the one on clearance the MC7801U do you think the MD is a better buy?

Well, the Asus has a dedicated graphics card, which would allow you to play games, edit video, or watch high definition videos via your notebook better than the 3 Gateway models you mentioned. It's also a smaller notebook (14" screen) compared to the Gateways, which may be a plus (lighter & more mobile) or a minus (smaller screen) depending on your preferences. All 4 notebooks have virtually the same processor. And the 2 Gateways from Best Buy both have faster hard drives.

I guess it somewhat depends on what your priorities and usage expectations are. I'd pick the Asus for the dedicated graphics.

Well I am a game player, just not on the PC. I prefer console games. Second, I didnt go with the Asus due to the screen size. In the store it looked a little blurry as well compared to the last gateway. The MD7818U is the one I went with. The screen size was honestly the deal breaker. I dont take my laptop around with me so The bigger the better.
