I have an Acer Extensa 5510 laptop that recently developed problems (won't react to any clicks on the mouse when started up). I've been advised to save everything to a memory stick whilst in safe mode (where it still responds fine to the mouse) and then re-install Vista. The problem is that I know very little about how I would go about this. I would be hugely grateful of an idiot's guide from start to finish (that uses non-techy language) to guide me through the process. I can't find my original disks that came with the laptop but have been informed that I should be able to download whatever I need from Microsoft's website. Can anyone help?
