My laptop burned, fixed now it freezes

Hey guys, as you read from the title, my laptop burned.
I have a dv9700 that I got last summer, still in warranty, just like that the laptop's motherboard burned out last month, I send it to HP and they replaced the motherboard for me for free as it was under warranty. Now my laptop works but it freeze all the time.
I reformat the hard drive and still getting the same freeze results. So it is definitely a hardware/technical issue.

I spend almost $2000 for it and I do not want to send it in again for repair, stay another 15days without my laptop and risk to have the same issues again.

It is possible to completely send the laptop back and get my money back as an HP credit in order to get another new HP laptop?

It depends on HP's warranty procedures. Regardless, you're going to have to call them about it if you want it fixed or replaced. I would tell them your frustrations and ask what options you have.

Is it possible? It may be, but that is a case by case scenario. i can understand not wanting to have to send it in again, and be without it for a couple of weeks or more!

Frankly, outside of a major hassle, it is unlikely that you can get a refund, not impossible, but unlikely. On the other hand, it is much more possible that you may be able to convince them to get you another model. I would definitely convey a DEEP level of unhappiness over having it repaired once already, and now needing to go back in, and see what they offer for solutions, making it clear that sending it in a SECOND time for hardware failure has you untrusting of a second repair.
