Need help

OK, I have an Acer Aspire 3100. I had to format my hard drive and I couldn't find my disks. I put XP on my laptop and I can't get my programs to go over the whole screen. It's only in the middle. I have about an inch and a half of black on either side.

Can anyone help me with fixing it?

try installing the ati drivers, version 8.12 is the latest I think. you will need the ones for integrated/ motherboard video
