Looking For A New Notebook - Advice Please!

Hi guys,

Great site here.

I'm looking for a new notebook but don't seem to be able to find quite what I'm looking for.

My requirements:
  1. In the 11"-13" range. Must be reasonably thin too, and preferably quite sleek looking.
  2. At least a Core 2 Duo T7200 processor, or equivalent. Preferably the new P-range, as they are more efficient.
  3. At least 2GB RAM, preferably @ 1066MHz.
  4. DVD drive not needed, but if it has one then that's okay.
  5. A dedicated graphics chip. Will not be used for games, but will be used for minor photo and video editing.
  6. Good battery life.
  7. As high a resolution as possible for the screen size - I do most my work on a 1920x1200 screen, so would find it difficult on a particularly low resolution.
So basically, I'm looking for something that's small, sleek, yet powerful and with a high-res screen. The closest I've found to this is the Sony Vaio TT-series, but they are too slow and the price isn't justified by its specs in my opinion.

Any advice on any models which fit the above criteria, and for as cheap as possible, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Macbook is not too bad either, for photo and video auditing.

macbook and vaio are the only ones close to your needs that I know of.

The MacBook has integrated graphics but discreet graphics are not necessary for photo or video editing.

My current macbook is just as good at video and photo editing as any of the macbook Pro. One might want to review one's requirements in these fields and see if one really needs a more powerful machine.

cheers ...
