Ventrilo, BF2, and Vista Ultimate 64-Bit

I play alot of video games but my laptop will freeze up when Im play BF2 with Ventrilo. I have read numerous threads on the Ventrilo support forums and cant find any answers. It almost looks like its a bad GPU driver, but its not. In the Windows Error Reporting it says that the crash is caused by Ventrilo. Any clues on how to fix this?

Would you share your comp's specs (model, ram, hard drive size etc ...)?

Sure will. Its an Asus M50SV-A1 laptop.

Its got 3Gbs of RAM (upgrading to 4Gbs in the next month), Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5Ghz 6Mb L2 cache, 250Gb Seagate Momentus 5400.4RPM HD with 8Mb cache, NVIDIA 9500GS 512Mb dedicated GPU, Vista Ultimate 64-bit.

Are you running Ventrilo with administrative mode? You might want to toy with the compatibility mode setting as well. Uninstall and reinstall Ventrilo after some gpu driver updates can sometimes help.

I am not sure about the reasoning of the sequence in installing Ventrilo after a gpu driver.

Dumb error really. I had all the settings right except for the password. We have our Ventrilo channel public so our pub players in our server can have an alternative way to chat with their team. Everyone that has admin abilities in the server has admin abilities in the Ventrilo server as well. Since I have admin abilities I wasnt able to log in with the public player password. Instead I have my own password so people cant take advantage of my admin abilites unless they hack into my email.

I guess. We have channels for a ton of stuff. We have BF2 channel, BF2 SF channels, TF2, COD4, Left 4 Dead, Counter Strike, Far Cry 2, GTA4, Computer help section, and a general section.
