Does anyone use Dell Mediadirect to play dvds? My XPS M1730 laptop plays all dvds fine under Vista environment (including mediadirect within vista). If I boot straight to the Mediadirect environment everything is fine apart from playing dvds. Of about 20 odd dvds I treied to play about 6 or 7 of them would not start, just dark blank screen. It's as if the playback freezes right at the start. On some I have to trigger to disc menu to get them going. Like I say for most part they work but some dvds just wont launch. Is Mediadirect outisde of Vista environment prone to locking up on dvds trying to launc? Is DRM or something like Macrovision causing issues perhaps?
