Intel Turbo Memory is mainly used by Windows *ahem* Vista itself, it's sort of a supplementary cache. But no games or benchmarking apps that I've heard of use it, that's why your scores remain the same.

Hmm, I'm wondering if it's an external tv tuner, and they either left it off or something to that effect...

Media center picks up the tuner but no signal. I'm not sure what to buy to connect my cable box to it.

I'm not sure about the m17x, but with the m9700, there was a special adapter for the tv tuner that came with the system. It has the special adapter on one end, and a regular sattelite/cable tv screw connector on the other. It's about six inches long.

It's likely if the tv out on the laptop isn't a standard, that there is an adapter. I'd contact Alienware. Some m9700 users didn't get theirs in the box, and just called Alienware and they sent them one in the mail.

I want to update everyone on my refrub/ebay outlet buy. Had problems with flicking screen in sli mode. Made a phone call to tech support problem fixed. Also have been searching every where for the tv tuner adapter could not find it. Called tech support today spoke with Louis. Giving him my name only he found the purchase from ebay in the system. Few minutes on hold he came back and they are sending me the adapter for nothing. Also he gave me an account number went Alienware web site instead of logging in on my originial one I used the account number he gave me. Same e-mail and new pass word and wammy my hive with all the drivers and a bios update. And that update was a fix for vista 64 hanging on install. You still only get 90 day warr but eveything else is like you bought from them.

Does any one know if I buy the fx keyboard off ebay will it work? Or is there some other hardware I did not get since it was received without that feature.
