Are there any laptops being offered with XP anymore? All I can find is Vista? It's pretty maddening!

Thanks!

No XP anymore... Windows stopped with XP and is moving on with other OS...you would have to get a copy of XP to place on a computer if you want it...

I have a copy of XP but my understanding is you can't just install it on a Vista machine and expect it to work properly.

You can install Xp on any laptop you just have to find the XP drivers for the hardware...vista is only an OS so you can take it off and put Linux or XP or even OS X from a Mac if you really want to try it but OS X on a pc is not very easy to put on a computer...

Microsoft stopped selling Windows XP licenses some time ago and they are getting scarcer as time passes, thus, the reason why you are having a difficult time finding a computer with XP installed. Microsoft wants the public to fully move to Vista and Windows 7.

As littlefrankus just mentioned, you can install Windows XP on a Vista only machine but you must find the drivers yourself. Keep in mind that if a machine was launched as Vista only by the manufacturer, they will not support your Windows XP installation.
