M15x dual boot question

I'm getting an m15x soon (yay!?) and I want to dual boot vista with another OS. I know this might be a silly question but as I understand the command centre and alienFX are apps so if I have to re-install vista will I lose those?

you can get those apps on alienwares hive webpage when u get ur computer you will have access to this area. You will have an account number given to you on a alienware card and input this info with your info and you can get into this area for that driver.... If you get the restore DVD that alienware offers you will have a ghost copy of your OS so its much easier to install your OS again if you have too...or you can buy norton ghost and do the same thing....

Oh, so I can copy my hdd to an external one, and boot it from that to dual boot with another OS?

norton ghost will allow you to make a copy of your OS to a DVD..makes it easier so you wont have to reinstall drivers...
Right now I have XP on my main drive... and my second drive has Windows 7 installed on it so I can dual boot....

if you have only one drive you can partition the drive and dual boot that way if you want to... there are a couple of ways to setting up multiple OS on a harddrive...

Well this wouldn't be an issue if AW supplies a vista 64-bit installation disc. Did you get an installation disc for xp on your alienware?

I dont have a ghost image of my OS.. I just have the OS on a disk that they send to you....
