Can you email me the tattoo software I have a HP a220n the A7N8X-LA board died on so I bought another HP A7N8X-LA of ebay and cant get my recovery disks to work.
Send me a pm and I will give you my email address. I really need to get my board going and an forced to use this old 486 to get on the net.
HP will not help me because the A220N is no longer under warranty and they want $249.00 bucks to re tattoo the system.
I cant afford that as I am disabled and in a wheel chair and live on a fixed income that only provides me with enough money for rent and food

hp tatoo

hi all
i've hp dv2401tu and i got PREINSTALLED VISTA with this and same model is avalable with xp also. i want to create the recovery discs with xp. is it possible in any manner ?? plz help me
post #16 of 53
NO!!! You can not make XP recovery disks if your system came pre installed with Visa. You can only make the Vista Recovery Disks!!!.
You can make the vista recovery disks from within a XP environment by connecting the hard drive to a XP machine and run the recovery disk creator from the vista drive provided the recovery disks have not been created before or if the drive has a password set.
If the drive password has been set you must first unlock the drive.
If the recovery disks have been made previously you must purchase them from HP by providing the model number build number and serial number.

I thought you said in your Pm's that you worked for HP/Compaq tech support in India.
You should know this....

Try MediaFire? It is free, no spyware, and great to share files around, once in a while.

You can upload the file, and share the link for download. Private and clean.

cheers ...
