Hp Motherboard Tattoo Utility - Page 3

For people looking for the HP tattoo utility, I found a link to the most recent version of the utility, with instructions at Rapidshare. Get it while the gettin's hot. Ten downloads and then the link dies, so anyone else who gets it, please re-upload somewhere else.

Your file of 17.55 MB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 293.0 KB for this file type.
An Administrator will have to go into the Admin control panel and change the max size for rar files so I can upload for all to use.

Why is this size so different from the one that is being popped up on rapidshare? At ZIP it is about 5+MB.

I think you could buy them through HP for $10-$15 if you don't have the originals. I would go that way because you get the dv2400 series driver and apps dvd with it also.

If this is correct, it is worth the investment and not getting the chance downloading some malware that would render the notebook unusable.

You will not find both recovery dvd's available for download anywhere for your model. The best you will find is a OEM which doesn't install drivers, software but just basic windows. If you got the laptop recently, call 1800-hp-invent and say your machine doesn't show a partition or didn't come with discs depending on what they originally provided. You would get them free if under warranty and in the past I was charged $15 for a tablet tx1000 pc recovery set and since I repair notebooks - I must of had them send me over 35+ sets for different series and models lol. Hope you get somewhere, if not let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Probably because it is not the same HP Tattoo/DMI utility, You need the proper utility that supports your board, using the wrong Tattoo/DMI utility will hoop your board because it will write the DMI information to to wrong area of the bios and possibly overwrite the bios information needed to post.

KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!!
