Dell inspiron 1545?

Hi all I bought this laptop a week ago and seem to be having problems with the touchpad and the cd drive. Im just wondering has anyone else got one of these and experienced these type of problems.

Would you expand a bit more as to what problems on these devices that you are experiencing?

Your OS? Up to date? When the issues appeared? ...

sorry yer everything is up to date it windows vista home. basically the touch pad seems to stop working every now and then just completely non responsive. The drive just keeps ejecting on its own with or without a disc, also if their is no disc in it it sounds like the drive is trying to load something up .

Just winging it, but you should try booting to the diagnostic partition if it's still there to see if it is for sure a vista driver thinger or a hardware thinger.

hold fn and press power to get there usually.
