Hello.
I own two AW laptops, the mALX and the M15X. I have run into some problems with them recently and was wondering if anyone else has and if anyone has some advice on how to deal with them.
They are:
(1) The mALX for the most part sits on my desk hooked up to my 22inch Samsung monitor (I use dual screens). Over the past few weeks the Samsung has been flickering allot when I first turn the laptop on. It usually stops after a few seconds. Then in the past few days it gos dark at times, as it did this morning. I played around with the Nvidia program and eventually it was fine. I also checked the connection (it is DVI) and it looks fine on both ends. Could this be a driver problem? Any ideas?
(2) This morning when I went to boot up the m15x it would not turn on, at all, nothing. I checked the battery and it was fully charged. I tried turning it on with the plug in and out and still nada. When it was plugged in the head was lit up but still nothing. So finally I tried something that an AW rep had told me to do for another issue last year, I took out the battery and pushed down hard on the alienhead (turn on buton) for 30 seconds. Then I put the battery back in plugged in the power cord and turned it on and it worked fine. So any ideas on what happened? I use the m15x infrequently for now so it was not turned on for 2 days, if that gives you any clues.
(3) IE7 crashes allot on the m15x. I have multiple tabs open up at the same time when I open IE, could that have something ot do with it?
