700m screen won't turn on >>> STUPID

ok i was dumb and as i was trying to reconnect my speakers i had the battery in (yeah yeah...)

and i touched the thin pcb under the display with my screwdriver

needless to say i got a small spark, no burnt smell tho.

now my lcd 'tries to come on' at boot but then nothing is displayed

i dont even get a super dark image that i can see.

do i need a new screen or inverter?

It's POSSIBLE the short circuit you created went back along the LCD flex cable and damaged the panel. However, I'd say $20 for the inverter makes it worth a shot.

any external video? it is possible that you may of damaged the lcd cable or the inverter like stated earlier.
