Re-install Windows Vista on Asus F3JP

Thread Starter
I need to format my hdd and re-install Windows Vista on my Asus F3JP. It came pre-installed with Vista. I have a recovery disk however when l put the disk in it only opens a window showing the following files -

Boot (file folder)
EFI (file folder)
Sources (file folder)
Asus.swm
Asus2.swm
Bootmgr

I dont know what these files & folders mean and if l try to run them they wont run.

I have tried to change my boot sequence but it gives me no option to do so when l start up.

What am l missing?

Please help

Have you tried pressing F9 during boot-up? Your laptop should have a built-in recovery partition. You activate that when you press F9 upon start-up when you see the ASUS logo. After that, it's all instruction directed..

Hope this helps!
